The Gaza Health Ministry said the death toll in the enclave surpassed 10,000 after four weeks of war with Israel. The updated figure was released after another night of intense strikes and as Israeli forces advanced farther into Gaza. The Biden administration expects more humanitarian aid to begin flowing into Gaza within days, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Monday during a news briefing in Ankara, Turkey, as he wrapped up a whirlwind tour of the Middle East. Blinken also said he was optimistic that there would soon be movement on U.S. efforts to push Israel to implement “humanitarian pauses” in Gaza, though Israel has refused to agree to one.
